  I had a horrible experience. Dr. Dong supposedly sprayed my throat to help the tube and small camera go down my nose into my throat and into my stomach. Something that added to the pain of this was that I was ordered to not used acid reflux medication for a week and consequently my whole throat and part of my esophagus was sore and red raw. Dong had no plastic gloves on while handling this long tube. Then moments before trying to insert the tube down my nose and into my stomach he put on a wrinkled, crinkled dirty looking pair of plastic gloves that looked like they had been used a number of times and thrown away in the garbage but retrieved for my application. He tried shoving the tube down but it hurt so much I couldn't take the pain and started to cough and gag it up. He was not in the least consoling. He tried twice. Then indicated it was pretty well my fault he couldn't perform his procedure. Although this man's office was on the 20th floor which would indicate high income business, the mess of his office and the dirty look of the man himself made me feel that I was in some dirty back alley attempting to get an illegal abortion. Not that I ever had an abortion. The doctor, if he was a doctor, was dressed in a dirty grey loose pullover, rumpled khaki pants. I didn't trust the look of him from the start. He gave me the willies. Dr. Dong's office is small and stacked with papers 3 ft high all over his desk except for a space he can squeeze in. Papers 3 ft high also cover his floor plus other material I couldn't recognize. There was only just a small little space for him to get behind his desk and for me to sit in front of the desk while he took my particulars down on paper. I would say that all the papers this man has regarding his patients are scattered this way. I asked him how could he find anything. I would expect my details would be thrown in that mess and couldn't be retrieved at a later date. It cost me about $275 to drive from Vernon BC to Vancouver and stay overnight. I am a senior on a minimum income and this expenditure hurt especially when the procedure amounted to failure. This man and his practice is a disgrace. I would guard against anyone allowing him to perform any procedure on them.
