- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪On Aug 11, 2016 I had Laparoscopic Gallbladder Removal (Cholecystectomy) my first ever surgery. I am very please with Dr Mahy and his team at Burnaby General. I have had no issues , pain or soreness. I would recommend Dr Mahy he has great bedside manners and really cares about the patient. He had my insurance forms filled out the day of my surgery. - ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Surgery went well, but getting insurance a papers signed for short term disability is a different story. He is apparently too busy to sign them until 5 days after my surgery, which adds an additonal 5 days to the processing time, he is also too busy to meet in person for this, so I'm unable to discuss the physical demands of my job and how that might affect the time line for my return to work.by d rempelApril 05, 2017
